WebI think the grey thing is way overblown. I have pics of guns from the factory in museums that are black from 67-69. I was told by a Colt M16 subject expert that the specs called for black. On a 601-602 I can see wanting grey, with Brownells you have to buy the stuff they sell as non blem, or not on sale. I notice a lot of the sale stuff is black.
