They were 97% to 94.5% retained wt. fired at 3' to 5' from muzzle into skinned-out Brown Bear carcass, starting at the neck/spine bone. They are classic mushroom, not banana. Test was 250 Gr. .338 Win. Mag.

Thecurrent Grand Slams use a single core. It is harder than typical lead cores but soft enough to expand. If they work anything like the older ones they are veery good buullets. Took me 20 ... At 600 yards the wind drift of the Speer bullet is 27.9 inches in a 10mph wind at a 90 angle. For the Nosler is is 31.1 inches of drift for a difference of 3 inches or so.

I am looking for a bullet suggestion for .30-06 reloads to try in a new Weatherby Vanguard Series 2 rifle. I am already trying Speer Hot-Cor 165 grain spitzer points with IMR 4350 powder.
